If you have multiple layers in After Effects and you want to add a slight delay on each layer, instead of clicking and dragging every individual layer, you can do this in a more time-efficient way.

How to add delay on multiple layers

Select all layers, right-click on them, go to “Keyframe Assistant” and click “Sequence Layers”.

🎞 Watch the tutorial here!

If you just click “OK” here, you will line up all your layers to start after each other, but if you want them to overlap, then check the box “Overlap” and type in the amount of time you want each layer to overlap, and then click “OK”.
