How to change layer order in After Effects

If you want to change the layer order in After Effects or reverse layer order, this is how you do it.

Simply select the layers in the order you want them to be, then click “cmd + X” to cut and then “cmd + V” to paste.

How to change layer order in After Effects

If you just want to reverse the order of the layers, click the layer at the bottom, hold down shift and then click the layer at the top.
Then just click “cmd + X” and “cmd + V” and the order of your layers will be reversed.
