How to make smooth motion in Adobe Premiere Pro
If you want a movement inside Premiere Pro to be more smooth, you can change this with something called “keyframes”.
The first thing you wanna do is to go the window “Effects” and search for “Transform”. Drag and drop that effect onto the clip or graphic you want to move. Then go to the “Effect controls” window and down to “Transform” and “Position” to create your keyframes.
You can also create these keyframes under “Motion” but if you stick to the end of this video, I will show you why I prefer to create the keyframes using the effect “Transform” instead.
Click on the little stopwatch next to “Position” to add your first keyframe. I like to work backwards with this, so I’ll start with setting a keyframe where I want the motion to end. Then, I move the playhead to where I want it to start and then I click and drag one of the values up or down to automatically create a new keyframe at this new point.
I drag the y-value up, because I want the graphic to come in from underneath. Now, click the little arrow right next to the stopwatch. If you scrub through the animation now, you can see that it’s very linear because the speed is the same throughout the motion.
