How to play audio while moving the mouse cursor in the timeline in Adobe Premiere Pro

When you move the playhead in your timeline you may or may not hear the audio play. IF it’s playing, you can see that in the audio meter.

This is called “audio scrubbing” in Premiere Pro.

How to play audio while moving in timeline

If you want to turn this off (or on), you can easily do that via the menu at the top.

Just go to the menu, click Premiere Pro, Preferences, Audio, and then click the checkbox next to “Play audio while scrubbing” and then click “OK”.
