How to speed up a clip without changing the pitch

When you speed up a clip in Premiere Pro, the audio can sound a bit strange and it sounds like your pitch is higher but you can actually adjust the pitch very easily.

…because you don’t want Batman to sound like a minion, do you?

To do this, go to the Effects window, search for Pitch Shifter and drag and drop that onto your clip. Then you go to the Effect Controls window and under Pitch Shifter, click Edit.

Now, you drag down semi-tones until your voice sounds normal again.
To preview your changes, use the arrow keys ⬇️ ⬆️ and the spacebar ➖.

If you have headphones on, it might sound like the audio is going back and forth quickly between your ears so to hide this change, even more, you can change the audio from stereo to mono, which I have done a separate one-minute tutorial about, that you can find here.

With that said, thanks for watching, keep learning, and have a great day!
